Description
The robin perches expectantly, waiting for just the right moment to flit down to the ground and
snatch up a juicy worm. These birds are a common sight throughout all of North America, and
are quite often seen in small groups hopping along the ground in search of insects and worms.
They find safety in numbers at night, forming large flocks that roost in dense vegetation.
Female robins have been known to clack their beaks at people who approach too close to a
nest, but otherwise robins are known for being quite friendly toward humans.
